Datavideo DAC-45 | HDMI, 3G-SDI, VGA to HDMI, 3G-SDI, 4K UP/DOWN/CROSS Converter

The Datavideo DAC-45 is a versatile 4K up/down/cross converter that seamlessly converts HDMI, 3G-SDI, and VGA signals to HDMI or 3G-SDI outputs....
Most fibre converters stop at the picture and leave the controller to find its own socket. FieldCast Fiber Dock One takes a different line: alongside its four camera channels sits a 4-pin XLR putting out 12 VDC, enough to run the PTZ joystick panel from the very chassis that feeds the cameras. It is a standalone hub, one rack unit high, meant to sit beside the vision mixer and the operator rather than out at the camera positions.
Each of the four rear channels starts at a FieldCast 2Core SM Hybrid chassis connector on 9/125 single mode fibre and ends on BNC as 3G-SDI at 2.97 Gb/s. Every channel offers a dual SDI output, so one camera reaches the switcher and a multiviewer at once with no distribution amplifier in the rack. SMPTE 259M, 344M, 292M and 424M are all covered, and every SD and HD standard up to 1080p60 passes through untouched, with no internal rescaling, so what leaves the lens is what the gallery sees.
Control rides the same glass. A front-panel RJ-45 accepts the PTZ controller, while Ethernet over fibre runs through each hybrid connector at gigabit rates, full or half duplex, to IEEE 802.3u and 802.3z; in service it behaves as a small switch between one controller and four cameras, keeping preset recall and iris trims crisp across a large venue. Power runs the other way. Each hybrid connector delivers 24 VDC, 260 W shared across the four, and the PTZ Monk at the camera end accepts 14 to 38 VDC before handing the camera 12 VDC at 60 W. Mains arrives on PowerCon, 110–240 VAC, with total draw under 300 W.
The enclosure matches the rest of the range: 19-inch aluminium, 1RU, with FieldCast colour coding on all four optical connectors so channel identity survives a rushed patch. The black front panel carries 2 mm warm-white LEDs for AC input, 12 VDC output, per-channel module activity, SDI over fibre, Ethernet over fibre, local Ethernet and 1 Gb signal detection, so fault-finding is a matter of looking rather than unplugging. With 100 m of 2Core SM Hybrid cable available per camera, a single Dock serves a sports hall gantry, a theatre circle, a conference stage or a council chamber — and it derigs as quickly as it rigs: four cables, one mains lead.

The smart, compact converter hub for PTZ camera control over fiber
Fiber Dock One is a standalone, four-channel converter hub designed to simplify and centralize control of your PTZ camera system. Supporting 3G SDI video and Ethernet-based camera control, it enables full operation over long distances using a single fiber optic cable per camera.
Where to place Fiber Dock One in the setup?
Installed near your monitoring equipment and PTZ controller—away from the camera location—Fiber Dock One acts as the central station where all connections come together.
It routes SDI video from camera to switcher or monitor, handles Ethernet control data between camera and controller, and delivers 24VDC remote power to each connected PTZ camera.
Working in combination with FieldCast Hybrid main cable and PTZ Monk, Fiber Dock One powers and controls up to four PTZ cameras—all with a clean, compact setup that’s easy to deploy in any professional environment.
Features
• Robust 19″ rack mount aluminum enclosure, 1RU in height, to be mounted near your monitoring system and PTZ camera controller.
