FieldCast SMPTE PUW-FUW 100m on Drum Hybrid Fiber Cable

A SMPTE 304 termination is a published interface, not a manufacturer's fitting: the Lemo 3K.93C.Y hardware here also answers to ARIB BTA S-1005B and EBU R100, plus UL 1977 recognition. For a hire fleet running mixed camera stock, that is the whole argument. Handling decides what a cable costs over its life, hence the Schill GT380 drum is solid rubber rather than moulded plastic — indifferent to oil, fuel and site chemicals, stackable in a truck, braked so a half-paid-out run stays put. The cable takes 700 N, bends to six times its own diameter and holds from −20 °C to +75 °C; the Lemo PUW-FUW connectors are sealed to IP68, rated at 20 000 matings and tested past a thousand hours of salt spray. Lengths from five metres up share the same ends, so one connector scheme covers the fleet.
