Laowa Nanomorph 65mm T2.4 1.5X Anamorphic S35 (Silver) PL + EF

Designed for modern Super 35 cinema cameras, the Laowa Nanomorph 65 mm T2.4 1.5× Anamorphic lens delivers true widescreen imagery from a body barely 95 mm long. Its constant 1.5× squeeze yields a 2.66:1 frame on a 16:9 sensor without “mumps”, while the neutral silver flare maintains colour fidelity and gives controllable horizontal streaks. The telephoto 65 mm focal length supplies gentle compression, ideal for portrait-style close-ups and dramatic isolations.

Fifteen elements in 13 groups, crafted from low-dispersion glass, hold edge-to-edge sharpness and keep chromatic shift low. A fast T2.4 aperture teams with a 13-blade iris to generate smooth oval bokeh, and the 270° focus rotation lets assistants track from 0.70 m to infinity with millimetric precision. Focus breathing is negligible, safeguarding frame lines during rack-focus moves, and the anamorphic block remains internally stable when the iris is adjusted.

The all-metal barrel carries matching 0.8 MOD gears for focus and iris, so gear position stays identical across the Nanomorph range. Front diameter is 80 mm for clip-on matte boxes, yet an internal 77 mm thread accepts ND or diopters for gimbal and drone work. Weighing only 0.82 kg, the lens keeps rigs agile while the passive design shrugs off extreme temperatures. Laser-engraved scales in both feet and metres stay visible in low light, and the footprint mirrors the 27 mm, 35 mm and 50 mm companions for rapid swaps.

Interchangeable PL and Canon EF mounts ship in the box, opening immediate compatibility with ARRI, RED, Blackmagic and DSLR-converted bodies. Combine the lens with Laowa’s 1.33× front adapter for a full 2.0× squeeze, or exploit its 30 mm image circle on selected full-frame modes. Angle of view on S35 is 36.8° × 15.8°. A shim set, 3/8-16 support foot and protective caps round out a package ready for high-pressure commercial shoots.
