Laowa PeriProbe 24 mm T14 2× Macro Lens Canon RF places a full-frame sensor at insect-eye level. The unique periscope architecture bends light through 24 mm optics to give an 85° field of view and 2 : 1 reproduction from only 0.8″ / 2 cm. Crews shoot sweeping push-ins along conveyor belts, glide inside engine blocks or pan across miniature sets while the housing stays clear of track or talent.

Optical quality matches the ambition. A relay of 28 elements in 19 groups delivers edge-to-edge acuity, minimal distortion and virtually zero focus breathing. The constant T14–T40 iris and seven-blade aperture render circular highlights, while full-frame coverage retains resolution on 8 K cameras. Focus and iris rings carry standard 0.8 MOD gears for wireless motors; index marks are expressed in metres for rapid repeatability.

PeriProbe ships with two hardened stainless-steel tubes. The straight module behaves like the classic probe; the 90° adapter redirects the optical axis for perpendicular moves and lets operators skim just above liquid or set surfaces. A clutch inside the collar lets the tube spin 360°, producing barrel rolls or instant portrait-landscape transitions. The first section of the barrel is waterproof, and an internal LED ring driven by the supplied USB dimmer fills tight cavities without bulky lighting.

At 770 g and 40.8 cm long, the lens mounts directly on gimbals or motion-control arms, and the slender Ø61 mm / Ø29 mm tip slips through rigging holes, plexiglass stages or aquarium lids.
