A complex 28-element/19-group optical path and seven-blade iris deliver edge-to-edge sharpness across the T14-T40 range. Macro focus starts just 2 cm from the front glass; combined with the 24 mm focal length, depth-of-field stays generous, so foreground and backdrop stay readable during extreme close-ups.
