Laowa Proteus 100 mm T2 2× Anamorphic S35 (Amber) PL + EF merges modern optical precision with a cinema-scope legacy. Covering Super 35+ sensors up to 25.9 mm in diameter, its constant 2× squeeze ratio yields a 2.66:1 frame on 4:3 capture while maintaining geometry across the full 300 ° focus travel—zero “mump” and minimal breathing. An iris of 10 blades delivers creamy oval bokeh; the specialised amber-flare coating paints warm horizontal streaks that echo vintage anamorphic glass.

The bright T2 aperture enables low-light interior work and rolls off to T22 for maximum depth control. An optical layout of 18 elements in 14 groups sustains edge-to-edge contrast even wide open, while the lens focuses to 0.99 m—tight portraits without dioptres. Industry-standard 0.8 MOD gears sit in identical positions across the Proteus range, so remote FIZ motors, follow-focus rings and matte-boxes stay locked-off during rapid swaps on gimbals, drones or studio heads.

Interchangeable PL and EF bayonets are supplied. Back-focus can be shimmed via the built-in adjustment module, guaranteeing accurate marks on ALEXA 35, RED V-RAPTOR or any S35 cinema body; add the optional 1.4× expanderto illuminate full-frame sensors. A 114 mm front diameter with 105 mm filter thread accepts swing-away matte-boxes; overall length is 240 mm and weight 2.8 kg, balanced on 15 mm/19 mm rods via the included 3/8-16 support foot and hard case.
