Laowa Proteus 2-Lens Bundle pairs the 35 mm and 60 mm T2 primes into a compact anamorphic toolkit for cameras with Super 35 (25.9 mm) sensors. Each lens holds a constant 2× squeeze ratio, projecting a 2.66 : 1 image on 4 : 3 plates and 2.4 : 1 on 6 : 5, while maintaining geometry at every focus mark to avoid “mumps”. The amber flare coating delivers warm cinematic streaks without veiling contrast, supporting period drama as well as live broadcast looks.

Optically the 35 mm renders a 73 ° horizontal field, focusing from 0.55 m, while the 60 mm covers 46.7 ° and closes at 0.70 m—both distances measured from sensor plane. Multi-layered constructions (17 / 14 and 17 / 13 elements / groups) keep chroma under control and preserve edge-to-edge acuity across the full T2 – T22 range. Ten iris blades generate elongated, oval bokeh and highlight roll-off characteristic of true anamorphic 2× glass. Pair either lens with the optional 1.4× expander to illuminate full-frame (36 × 24 mm) without compromising resolution.

Mechanically, unified 0.8 MOD gears sit at identical positions, so matte boxes, follow-focus units and motors swap between focal lengths in seconds. 300 ° focus rotation enables precise pulls, while a short 60 ° iris throw speeds stop changes on set. Both lenses share a Ø114 mm front with a 105 mm filter thread, plus interchangeable ARRI PL / Canon EF mounts (EF bayonets supplied). The 35 mm measures 182 mm and 2.4 kg; the 60 mm 198 mm and 2.3 kg—balanced for gimbals and multi-camera rigs.
