Optically, 21 elements in 15 groups deploy high-index glass and aspherical surfaces to maintain corner acuity; the set stays parfocal and focus breathing is negligible when racking from 0.50 m (19.7 in) to infinity. Eleven blades shape oval bokeh. A generous 270° focus throw (0.8 M gears), 100° zoom rotation and 42° aperture ring guarantee predictable motor mapping.
