Libec HS-150QC Video Tripod

Libec HS-150QC is a carbon tripod system built for crews running mirrorless rigs, compact cinema cameras and handheld camcorders where repeatable motion matters more than brute force. The H15 fluid head carries up to 3 kg and uses Libec’s Continuous Perfect Counterbalance, so the camera can hold position at any tilt angle instead of drifting forward during interviews, product demos or long-lens cutaways.

Balance is fast to dial-in: the counterbalance knob is paired with an illuminated 0–100 meter, letting operators log a setting for each build (body + cage + matte box + wireless) and return to it on the next call. Pan/tilt resistance comes from a layered metal drag unit with “free” plus 3 drag steps, tuned for clean starts and controlled stops. The head tilts +90° / −70° and stays consistent from −40°C to +60°C, useful for winter exteriors, hot stage lights, or outdoor OB work. An LED-lit bubble level keeps levelling practical in dark venues.

On set, speed comes from the one-touch snap-on/off sliding plate (sideload style) and broad plate compatibility with popular Manfrotto and Sachtler standards. The plate offers a ±30 mm sliding range for micro-trimming centre of gravity when swapping between primes, zooms and teleconverters, and ships with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera screws plus spares. The dual-base platform gives both a 75 mm bowl and a flat base with 3/8"-16 thread, so the same head can move from legs to a slider, skater/doorway dolly, or low tabletop support without changing your workflow.

The kit pairs the head with QL40C carbon legs using quick locks and independent spread, the SP-1B ground spreader for stable stance on smooth floors, and the RC-30 carrying case for transport between studio, location and live venues. Multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads on both head and tripod simplify adding an on-board monitor, receiver bracket or small LED—keeping a broadcast-ready tripod system tidy for streaming, ENG and documentary production.
