Libec HS-450MQC Video Tripod

Libec HS-450MQC is a carbon-fiber tripod system pairing the H45 fluid head with QL40C quick-lock legs for broadcast, documentary and commercial crews that need repeatable pans and tilts on accessorised camera builds. The head supports camera packages up to 12 kg and uses a continuous “Perfect Balance” counterbalance (4.5–10.5 kg), so the rig can hold at any tilt angle—critical when working a long zoom or a front-heavy matte box.

For controlled motion, pan/tilt resistance comes from a multilayer metal drag system with Free + 3 stepped drag levels, plus independent pan and tilt locks. The head offers +90° / −70° tilt, an illuminated bubble level for dim studios, and a one-touch snap-on/off sliding plate for fast camera swaps between A/B units. The sliding plate ecosystem stays practical on mixed crews, with compatibility covering common Manfrotto 501/504 plates and Sachtler Sideload S, while camera mounting uses 1/4" and 3/8" screws with a locating pin.

The BR-2B mid-level spreader keeps leg geometry stable on stairs, cobblestones or OB-van cable runs where a ground spreader can’t sit flat, while carbon legs keep torsional stiffness high for live pans. QL40C’s single-action leg locks secure both stages in one move, reducing downtime when repositioning during ENG, sports or run-and-gun streaming. The head’s 75 mm half-ball also converts to a threaded flat base (3/8"-16), so the same head can move onto sliders, skater dollies or flat platforms without extra adapters.

The kit ships as a complete working package: head, legs, spreader, FP-1B rubber feet and carry bag. Put it under cinema cameras with V-mount power, shoulder camcorders, teleprompter builds or compact studio rigs; the counterbalance window and drag steps keep moves consistent take after take, even across temperature swings from −40°C to +60°C. Accessory threads on the head/tripod accept monitor arms, wireless receivers or timecode boxes for tidy, production-ready builds.
