Libec TH-X is a compact video tripod system centred on a true fluid head for controlled starts, stops and constant-speed moves with mirrorless rigs, cinema handheld builds and small ENG camcorders. The head carries up to 4 kg (rated at a 55 mm centre of gravity) and uses fixed counterbalance plus fixed drag, so resistance stays consistent across operators, rehearsal days and multi-camera positions. A non-illuminated bubble level speeds levelling when moving between marks.
Camera mounting uses a Snap-On/Off one-touch mechanism: the plate clicks in rapidly and a safety latch helps prevent unintended release during fast resets. A sliding balance plate with ±30 mm travel supports fore/aft trim when swapping batteries, wireless audio, on-camera monitors or matte boxes, and the camera interface uses a 1/4″-20 screw with video pin to resist twist. Rosettes on both sides allow right- or left-hand pan-bar placement without re-rigging.
The head interfaces via a 65 mm bowl, and its DUAL-BASE structure adds a flat base with a 3/8″-16 thread, allowing the same head to move onto sliders, monopods or skater dollies without adapter blocks. A full 360° pan range and a tilt range of +90° / −80° cover stage follow shots and low-angle product moves, and operation is specified from −20°C to +60°C for winter exteriors and hot studio floors.
The 2-stage tripod with mid-level spreader stabilises on uneven locations, with quick leg locks and rubber feet for grip on polished floors. Typical uses include live streaming podiums, press briefings, multicam classrooms, worship services, trade-show demos and compact documentary travel kits where predictable pan/tilt feel matters more than extreme payload. A padded carrying case keeps the system together for call-to-call transport.

Provide stable support to your small camcorder, DSLR, or mirrorless camera with the Libec TH-X Tripod System. Mounted atop a two-stage (3-segment) tripod with a 65mm bowl, the TH-X head provides a sliding balance platform for optimal pan/tilt performance for loads up to 9 pounds. The drag and counterbalance are fixed, and both the pan and tilt can be locked. Rosettes on either side of the head can hold the pan bar for right and left-handed operators.
While the 65mm ball base offers quick-leveling capabilities when used with a tripod, it has a trick up its sleeve. The bottom of the base is flattened and has a 3/8"-16 thread in the center, enabling it to be secured to flat-mount accessories such as sliders, jibs, and more without unwieldy bowl adapters.
The included tripod offers a 30-62" height range for both lower and higher-angled shots. Thumbscrew-tightened leg sections secure the tripod, and the mid-level spreader provides stability and quick operation, even on uneven terrain and flooring.
