Two lenses share the housing: a wide panoramic sensor reads the whole scene while the main 1/2.8″ sensor frames a single person through a 20x optical zoom. Because the AI human detection was schooled on more than a million images of faces and bodies, the camera keeps a presenter sharp at 1080p 60fps as they cross a stage, step toward a whiteboard, or turn to address a panel — no lanyard transmitter, no rack-mounted processor running alongside.

How it follows people is yours to set. Stage tracking pans left and right inside a marked zone, Everywhere tracking chases movement across the room on every axis, and Partition tracking jumps to a chosen angle and zoom the moment a speaker enters a defined area. Two auto-framing modes pull a tidy group shot and re-frame as delegates join or leave a seminar table. A lecturer can switch the tracked subject simply by raising their hands, since gesture control hands the spotlight over mid-session without anyone reaching for a remote.

Connectivity is where this PTZ earns its place in a busy gallery. HDMI, 3G-SDI, IP and USB 3.0 all run at once, so a single unit can feed a vision mixer, a recorder and a streaming encoder on the same take. The IP path carries the main 1080p60 feed plus a 720p30 second stream over SRT or RTMP, while ONVIF and VISCA control sit beside RS-232 for a controller surface. PoE over one Cat cable trims the install, and a near-silent pan-and-tilt holds 256 presets across a 340-degree sweep.

White bodywork lets the Lumens VC-TR40 White recede into pale lecture theatres, corporate boardrooms and broadcast sets where black hardware would read on camera. Stage Tracking and Everywhere Tracking Mode
In Stage Tracking mode, the VC-TR40 will pan left and right to follow a presenter within a defined area. In the Everywhere Tracking mode, the camera will continuously track the presenter's movement left and right, forwards and backward.

Partition Tracking Mode
When the presenter moves inside a user-defined Partition Area, the camera switches to a preset angle and zoom. When outside a Partition Area, the camera autonomously follows the presenter.

Gesture Control Tracking Method
The VC-TR40 features advanced gesture control. When the presenter raises their hands, the tracking target will switch automatically. You can also manually change the tracked subject by selecting the individual via the web interface.

Auto-Framing and Partition Framing Mode
With the Auto-framing function, the VC-TR40 will dynamically adjust to capture all delegates, re-framing the view if participants join or leave during the session. In Partition-Framing mode, the camera will go to a preset position when the presenter walks in. When the presenter walks out the area, the camera will go back to the Auto-Framing mode.

Flexible Mounting
The VC-TR40 can be positioned upright or suspended from the ceiling installation. When inverted, the camera can re-orient the image and flip the camera controls.
