Magewell Control Hub Plus brings pro‑grade IP video management to demanding broadcast and streaming environments. As the successor to Magewell’s Cloud platform, it consolidates monitoring and control for up to 50 encoders, decoders and IP audio devices into one secure web interface. The refined dashboard shows device status, stream statistics and warnings at a glance, and technicians can preview live feeds from remote Ultra Stream, Ultra Encode or USB Fusion units without opening individual panels. Running as a Docker container on Linux, Windows or macOS, it can be installed on a local server for fast access or deployed in the cloud; HTTP API integration supports customised scheduling systems and dashboards.

Beyond monitoring, Control Hub Plus offers operational control of each connected unit. Engineers can adjust encoder settings, start and stop recordings or streaming, schedule firmware updates and organise devices into logical groups. The software keeps track of CPU, memory and network conditions and delivers 24/7 status reports and alerts. This visibility helps broadcast networks and streaming studios maintain consistent performance across dispersed locations. Compatibility extends across Magewell’s Ultra Stream and Ultra Encode live encoders, Pro Convert NDI® transcoders, Pro Convert Audio DX IP converters and the USB Fusion capture and mixing device, letting operators configure parameters remotely and trigger functions or firmware updates for multiple devices in one action.

The platform excels at stream conversion. Users can build up to 25 channels and route each channel to multiple targets for a total of 50 outputs. Each channel can ingest RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, SRT (caller or listener) or transport streams delivered over UDP/RTP and convert them to one or more protocols for delivery to CDNs, social platforms or internal networks. For example, a corporate streaming team can take a secure SRT feed, transcode it to RTMP for a public platform and simultaneously output an NDI® stream for local monitoring—reducing latency and ensuring consistency across venues. Adjustable unicast or multicast modes, buffer management and encryption settings provide control over latency and reliability, even on congested networks.

Licensing tiers let users choose capacities appropriate to their projects: Basic, Plus and Pro versions differ in the number of devices, channels and outputs supported.
