The PTZOptics Studio SE 20x is a fixed-lens box camera built around a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor with 8.4 million effective pixels, outputting 1080p video at up to 60 fps through simultaneous HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 Type-C, and Gigabit Ethernet. Its 20x optical zoom (f = 4.7 – 94 mm, F1.6 – F3.6) paired with 16x digital zoom reaches tight framings from across a studio floor, while a 67.8° field of view at the wide end covers broad shots. With minimum illumination of 0.5 lux (F1.8, AGC on), the camera handles dimly lit stages, houses of worship, and courtrooms where lighting stays low.
Native NDI® HX3 over the RJ45 port lets teams route video across standard Ethernet alongside RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, and ONVIF streams — essential when feeding IP-based broadcast chains, vMix or OBS-driven live production setups, or multi-camera lecture capture systems. The 3G-SDI BNC output conforms to SMPTE 424M (800 mVp-p, 75 Ω), supporting cable runs up to roughly 100 metres without signal loss. A built-in microphone plus 3.5 mm line-level input and output handle audio embedding without extra hardware.
Control runs through PTZOptics Hive Studio, a browser-based platform that manages several Studio SE units from any networked device. Up to 255 presets at 0.1° accuracy prove valuable during multi-angle television broadcasts, corporate events, or municipal council recordings where shot recall must be instant. A front tally light confirms on-air status to talent, and image flip, mirror, and freeze functions cover inverted mounts and hold-frame needs.
