Teradek Bolt 6 LT 1500 TX is a zero-delay wireless link for on-set monitoring and live production, operating across the new 6 GHz U-NII-5 band alongside 5 GHz to clear crowded RF. It moves 10-bit 4:2:2 video with AES-256 security and RSA-1024 key exchange while keeping latency under 0.001 s, so focus pulls and switching remain frame-accurate. HDMI carries UHD 4K up to 30p; 3G-SDI supports 1080p60, with an SDI loop that converts 4K23.98–30 HDMI input to 1080p for video village. Line-of-sight range reaches 1500 ft (457 m) using two 2 dBi antennas and robust noise rejection that lets multiple sets run side-by-side.
Connectivity covers 1× 3G-SDI input, 1× HDMI Type-A, and a 3G-SDI loop output for local monitoring. Metadata, embedded audio (48 kHz/24-bit PCM), timecode, and run/stop flags pass through for proper camera control and recording triggers. Color formats include YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit over SDI and RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 8-bit or 4:2:2 10-bit over HDMI. Channel selection can be automatic or manual across DFS and non-DFS ranges (5.190–5.230, 5.270–5.670, 5.755–5.795, 5.945–6.425 GHz) to avoid interference.
Integration on set is straightforward: pair once in the Bolt App via Bluetooth, then manage links and firmware in Bolt Manager for macOS/Windows. One transmitter can multicast to up to six receivers, and it interoperates with all Bolt 4K LT/XT and Bolt 6 receivers, limited by the shortest-range unit. Power arrives via a locking 2-pin 6–28 VDC input (≈9W typical).
The chassis is milled aluminum with multiple 1/4-20 and M3 mounting points, an on/off switch, OSD with joystick, and operating range of 0–40°C. Physical footprint is very compact at 60 × 103 × 33 mm and 206 g.
