VELVET CYC 5 Color Studio is an RGBW cyclorama and wash light for television stages, broadcast studios and virtual production sets that need uniform, camera-ready backgrounds. Five articulated LED battens produce an asymmetrical cyclorama beam that can cover backdrops up to 5 metres high, so one compact head can replace several conventional cyc fixtures while keeping illuminance consistent from floor to grid.
The fixture provides CCT control from 2500K to 10000K with full green/magenta correction, allowing colour temperature and tint to follow camera white balance or existing key systems. Advanced colour engines and modes – CCT, HSI, RGB, virtual gels and effects – let operators create white cycloramas, saturated chroma backgrounds, pastel gradients or horizontal colour splits by addressing each batten individually. A 16 kHz LED refresh keeps output flicker-free for high-speed capture up to 2000 fps, making VELVET CYC 5 suitable for drama, entertainment and live sports studio workflows.
For integration into studio infrastructure, VELVET CYC 5 Color Studio includes on-board AC electronics with 90–264 VAC input, PowerCon TRUE1 in/out for daisy-chaining, and both wired DMX-RDM via 5-pin XLR and wireless Wi-Fi ArtNet plus Bluetooth control. The local interface with shock-resistant keys and colour display enables fast stand-alone operation in green-screen rooms, streaming studios and OB vans. Typical colour rendering above CRI 95 with TLCI 94/93 ensures accurate reproduction of skin tones, chroma key backdrops and printed branding in multicamera broadcast pipelines.
The fanless aluminium housing uses passive cooling for silent operation, ideal for close-mic news sets and drama stages. IP21 protection and a wide operating temperature range support daily use in fixed grids, theatre cycloramas, rental inventories and touring backdrop rigs. With optional junior/baby yokes, ball-joint mounts, pole-operated yokes, barn doors and flight cases, VELVET CYC 5 Color Studio RGBW cyclorama provides a flexible solution for television, live streaming, XR stages and events where reliable, repeatable background washes are critical.
