VELVET EVO 2x2 IP54 is a weatherproof RGBWW soft LED panel for film, television and streaming teams operating in rain, spray, haze or dusty venues. A sealed IP54 aluminium chassis and silent, fan-free passive cooling keep the fixture mic-safe on dialogue stages, reality sets and broadcast studios. Light intensity is continuously variable from 0-100% and specified as flicker-free with an output frequency of 2000 fps, supporting high-speed capture and LED-wall scan patterns.
The 5-channel engine (R+G+B+W+CW) combines wide-gamut colour with disciplined white light: continuous 2500-10000 K tuning and continuous green-magenta offset for camera matching, mixed practicals and hybrid daylight/tungsten environments. Colour reproduction is rated at TLCI 96 at 3200 K and TLCI 97 at 5600 K, supporting consistent skin tones across multi-camera productions. Photometrics specify 2405 lux at 3 m and 700 lux at 6 m, paired with a wide 115-degree beam for soft key, wrap fill, overhead washes and even background plates.
Control slots into studio grids, OB trucks and rental inventories. Local operation uses a colour display and shock-resistant buttons, including direct recall for 3200 K and 5600 K. Wired control is via DMX-RDM on XLR-5. Wireless options include LumenRadio CRMX, Wi-Fi Art-Net and Bluetooth through the VELVET GOYA app, enabling rapid addressing, grouping and cue-friendly colour workflows for live events, corporate streaming and location units.
Power handling suits both studios and remote sets: 403 W draw from universal 90-264 VAC using a Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 TOP inlet, or 28 V DC on XLR-3 with optional V-Lock/Gold Mount battery plates for cable-free operation. The specified operating range of -20 to +40 C supports winter exteriors and hot event halls. This No Yoke configuration fits custom bracket builds, truss grids and low-profile mounting where a separate rigging solution is preferred.
