VELVET Light 4 IP54 Bi-Color LED Panel

VELVET Light 4 IP54 is a weatherproof bi-color LED soft panel supplied as a complete pack for broadcast and live production. The 4×1 format produces a panoramic emitting surface that behaves like a continuous strip softlight, effective as a low-profile key above cameras or a soft toplight for interview tables. A 100° beam and 11,267 lux at 1 m at 5600 K provide ample output for daylight-balanced operation while maintaining smooth wrap.

The variable white engine spans 2700–6500 K in 100 K steps, allowing precise matching to tungsten, daylight or mixed ambient sources. TLCI values of 92 at 3200 K and 95 at 5600 K keep colorimetry predictable across multi-camera broadcast and drama workflows. Local control combines shock-resistant keys, a clear display and a 3200/5600 K shortcut for fast recall of presets. Dimming from 0 to 100% is smooth and flicker-free up to 2000 fps, supporting high-frame-rate studio and sports work.

For system integration, the fixture offers DMX-RDM over 5-pin XLR for remote intensity and CCT control, addressing and monitoring from lighting consoles or OB networks. Power accepts 26–28 V DC via Neutrik XLR-3 and 90–264 V AC 50/60 Hz through the included IP54 PSU, so the unit runs from studio power, stage distribution or battery systems using V-mount or Gold-mount adapters. A 322 W draw delivers an efficient lux-per-watt ratio for outdoor stages and location rigs. Fan-free passive cooling keeps operation silent.

This IP54 pack includes the panel, central yoke with 28 mm spigot, weatherproof PSU and Schuko mains cable, forming a ready-to-deploy kit for rental houses, broadcasters and corporate facilities. The extruded aluminium chassis with rain protection copes with daily rigging on stands, truss and pipe grids in outdoor sets, stadium tunnels and rooftop studios.
