VELVET Light 4 IP54 Bi-Color LED Panel (No Yoke)

VELVET Light 4 IP54 is a weatherproof bi-color LED soft panel for outdoor broadcast, ENG trucks and event production. Its panoramic strip form factor builds a continuous, wraparound key or fill source with a 100° beam, producing uniform exposure on news desks, interview lines, mobile stages and medium-size sets without additional diffusion.

The variable white engine covers 2700–6500 K in precise 100 K steps, with CRI and TLCI values around 96 to maintain calibrated reference white on SDR and HDR workflows. At one metre (≈ 3.3 ft) the panel delivers about 11,267 lux at 5600 K, remaining flicker-free up to 2000 fps for high-speed capture. Onboard electronics provide 0–100% dimming with repeatable digital values, a direct access button for 3200/5600 K presets and shock-resistant keys with a high-contrast display, so lighting directors can match multiple units quickly on location or in rental fleets.

For integration into control systems, the fixture includes full DMX-RDM control over 5-pin XLR, while power can be drawn from 26–28 V DC blocks, including V-mount or Gold-mount batteries via optional plates, or any 90–264 V AC mains feed through the Neutrik XLR-3 input. Typical power consumption of 322 W provides an efficient lux-per-watt ratio that keeps cable runs and generator capacity under control on OB vans, touring rigs and streaming setups. Totally silent, fan-free cooling protects dialogues and live music recordings by eliminating the risk of fan noise on open microphones.

A sealed aluminum housing with IP54 protection withstands daily use in outdoor studios, stadium tunnels, red-carpet positions or festival stages where dust, spray and temperature swings are constant. Optional yokes, pole-operated mounts, swivel ball heads and multi-panel frames allow the VELVET Light 4 IP54 to function as a standalone key, a punchy backlight above camera platforms or as part of larger soft arrays for film drama, e-sports arenas and corporate streaming environments.
