The VELVET Power 2 Studio Flood 30° is a 2×1 bi-color LED panel for studio grids and controlled sets where a strong but manageable field of light is required. This dustproof IP51 fixture uses a 190 W LED engine and a native 30° flood beam to deliver concentrated output from a compact form factor, suitable as key, fill or backlight on multi-camera talk shows, news sets, virtual production stages and fixed streaming studios.
The colour engine of the VELVET Power 2 Studio Flood 30° spans 2700K to 6500K in 100 K increments, allowing precise alignment with tungsten, daylight or mixed LED rigs. High-quality emitters and custom optics achieve CRI 97 with TLCI up to 98 at 3200K and 96 at 5600K, maintaining neutral skin tones and stable reproduction of set colours. Light output is adjustable from 0–100% with smooth, flicker-free dimming; the driver remains clean for high-speed capture up to 2000 fps, useful for sports inserts, beauty shots and product macros.
With its 30° beam angle, the panel reaches up to 44,550 lux at 1 m and around 4,950 lux at 3 m (5600K), retaining usable intensity at 6 m for bounced and indirect lighting. Optional VP2-D25, VP2-D50, VP2-D100 and VP2-DVL diffusion filters extend the field to approximately 45–115°, turning the unit into a wide, soft studio source for desk fills, green-screen washes or cyc illumination. This flexibility lets a single VELVET Power 2 Studio operate as a punchy key through a Snapbag, a bounced source into poly boards or a backlight in a tight ceiling rig.
Operational control combines an on-board interface with shock-resistant keys and display with DMX/RDM connectivity via 5-pin XLR, enabling addressing, monitoring and mode selection from lighting consoles in broadcast galleries and OB trucks. The VP2ST-PACK studio kit includes the Power 2 Studio panel, yoke with 28/16 mm combo spigot, 200 W AC power supply and 3.5 m TRUE1 mains cable.
