A second-generation take on Z CAM's Micro Four Thirds line, the Z-CAM E2-M4 Mark II keeps the compact cube body the E2 series built its reputation on and rewires it for networked, synchronised production. Its 4/3" CMOS sensor (19.0 × 13.0 mm, 10.71 megapixels) records 4K DCI at up to 120 frames per second, reaches 160 fps in 2.4:1 widescreen and 240 fps in Full HD — slow motion that earns its place in sports coverage, commercials and music films. Dual native ISO 500/2500 plus 13–15 stops of dynamic range in Z-Log2, stretched to 16 stops with WDR engaged, hold highlight and shadow detail when lighting shifts mid-take.

Footage lands on a single CFexpress Type B slot as 10-bit H.265, H.264, four ProRes 422 variants or ZRAW, while the HDMI 2.0 output feeds ProRes RAW to an Atomos Ninja V or Blackmagic RAW to a Video Assist whenever a grade calls for maximum latitude. A built-in gyroscope writes motion metadata with every clip, so material from a car mount or crash-cam position can be stabilised cleanly in post without a gimbal.

Live production is where this camera argues its case. 3G-SDI and HDMI run in parallel, LTC timecode and BB/tri-level genlock arrive on BNC, and Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ lets a single network cable power, control and stream a unit rigged on a truss or in an OB relay position no operator can reach. RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP and SRT sit in the built-in web client, EzLink holds multi-camera rigs in sync within 0.5 ms, Wi-Fi 5 GHz and a LANC-compatible remote port cover handheld work, and an open API leaves room for custom studio integration.

Fanless aluminium construction, a mini V-lock battery plate, a 12 V accessory output and an interchangeable active-lock mount — PL, LPL and M options beside the stock MFT — make the Z-CAM E2-M4 Mark II easy to standardise across a rental fleet or a multi-studio operation. Our team assists with mount selection, network commissioning and multicam configuration before the first shoot day.

You might not have seen the Z CAM E2 at these venues, but you've likely watched the stunning images captured by it.

    Multiple Camera Synchronization
Z CAM has been widely adopted in many multiple camera applications worldwide due to its high sync precision, open API and reliability.

    Z CAM EzLink Sync
All cameras are connected to a network switch for Z CAM EzLink Sync.
Once connected, one camera must be designated as the master, with the others set as slaves.
Z CAM EzLink ensures precise synchronization, maintaining a tolerance of no more than 0.5ms.

    Z CAM PixelLink*
Z CAM PixelLink Sync (Master/Slave) requires all cameras to be connected in a daisy chain using Z CAM sync cables.
Cameras are interconnected using Cat 6 Ethernet cables.
    Ensuring perfect line sync precision.
    * Only available on Z CAM E2 model
