The Z-CAM E2-S6G Mark II NDI Global Shutter pairs a Super 35 global shutter CMOS sensor — 31.49 effective megapixels, 14 stops of dynamic range — with a body wired for networked production. Whip pans, spinning rotors, strobe hits and LED wall refresh cycles land on the sensor as one complete exposure, so sports coverage and virtual production plates stay geometrically clean. Native ISO sits at 1250, a sensible match for lit stages and studio grids.

    Internal recording reaches Open Gate 6144 x 4096 at 30 fps, 6K 2.4:1 at 50 fps and 4K DCI 2.4:1 at up to 70 fps, written to CFexpress Type B cards as 10-bit H.265, ProRes 422 HQ or ZRAW. An Atomos Ninja V takes ProRes RAW over HDMI; a Blackmagic Video Assist captures BRAW. Grading starts from Z-Log2, and 12-axis colour correction lets one operator match several bodies to a single reference — the difference between an evening of grading and a coffee break.

    Its network side earns the name. 10-bit NDI|HX3, RTSP, RTMP and SRT streams leave the Gigabit Ethernet port directly, while PoE+ feeds power through the same Cat 6 run — one cable per camera position across a conference hall or an esports arena. Genlock and LTC timecode arrive on BNC, EzLink holds a whole fleet within 0.5 ms, and 3G-SDI plus HDMI 2.0 (4K DCI 60p, 10-bit 4:2:2) connect to any vision mixer already in the rack.

    A fanless aluminium alloy housing draws a mere 18 W, stays silent behind a lectern and accepts mini V-Lock batteries once mains power is out of reach. USB-C, 2.5 mm LANC and a serial port hand control to robotic heads and production software through an open API, and dual-channel XLR audio enters via a 5-pin LEMO socket. The EF mount with active lock swaps for optional PL, LPL or M versions, so existing cinema glass keeps earning its keep in broadcast studios, on touring stages, or inside permanently cabled streaming rooms.
