Frame-accurate sync is the quiet requirement behind every clean multicam production, and it is exactly where the Z-CAM E2-F6 Pro earns its keep. BB and tri-level genlock, an LTC timecode input and a broadcast-grade 12G-SDI output let several bodies run locked together for concert coverage, panel shows or LED-volume plates, while the HDMI 2.0 port feeds 10-bit 4K60 to on-set monitors and external recorders.
At the centre sits a 26-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor measuring 37.09 x 24.75 mm. It reads out in open gate 6064 x 4040 for anamorphic lenses and vertical reframes, holds 60 fps in 6K 2.4:1, touches 120 fps in 2.4:1 cinema 4K, and a Super 16 crop reaches 170 fps for crisp slow motion, while 4K UHD tops out at a broadcast-friendly 90 fps. Fifteen stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO 400/2500 keep night exteriors and mixed stage lighting under control — documentary crews shooting available light will notice it immediately.
Recording stays internal in 10-bit ProRes 422 HQ, 422, LT or Proxy with Z-Log2, HLG, Rec.709 and a dedicated Concert profile, written to CFast 2.0 cards or ZBlade media with RAID ECC protection and a built-in 20 Gbps reader, so offload runs at the pace an evening deadline demands. The included 1000-nit Full HD touchscreen monitor carries complete camera control and detaches whenever the rig needs to slim down. Shutter can be set by angle, from 1 to 360 degrees, and a time lapse mode is built in for stage-build or set documentation.
The aluminium body carries an integrated V-mount plate, a 12 V accessory output, Gigabit Ethernet for remote control and live streaming, 5 GHz Wi-Fi and a LANC-compatible remote port, so the camera drops into studio, OB and rental fleets without adapter gymnastics. The interchangeable EF mount accepts optional PL, LPL, M and MFT mounts as well as an optional eND module. This compact camera comes with a Canon EF lens mount and can be used with separately available ARRI PL and Leica M mounts. The E2-F6 Pro captures up to 10-bit 6K60 full-frame video and offers both pro 12G-SDI and HDMI video outputs. The included 5" touchscreen monitor is detachable and can be tilted for optimal viewing. It captures a nominal 15 stops of dynamic range, supports timecode and genlock, and incorporates four user-assignable buttons along the side of the camera.
