When eight SDI sources need to reach eight separate destinations without signal degradation, the AVMATRIX MSS0811 delivers a dependable 8×8 routing matrix in a single rack unit. This 3G-SDI matrix switcher handles bit rates from 270 Mbps up to 2.97 Gbps, covering SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI standards — including both Level A and Level B — as well as DVB-ASI transport streams. Every input accepts a different format simultaneously: one channel can carry a 1080p60 camera feed while another passes a 720p graphics source and a third routes a DVB-ASI stream from a satellite receiver, all without manual reconfiguration.

Signal integrity remains solid across the entire chain. The MSS0811 applies automatic input equalization and detection, compensating for cable-length losses before re-clocking and distributing each output at full amplitude (800 mV ±10%, 75 Ω, BNC connectors to IEC 169-8). Embedded SDI audio and ancillary data pass through untouched, which matters in broadcast trucks and live event rigs where a separate audio router would add unnecessary complexity. Switching between routes happens cleanly — no black frames, no snow — so operators can change sources during a live transmission without visible glitches on programme output.

Four distinct control paths give integration teams room to choose. The front-panel buttons and built-in 2.2-inch LCD handle quick changes on location or in an edit suite; RS-232 allows third-party automation systems to trigger presets; the Ethernet port works with the included Windows routing software for centralized management across a facility network; and a USB Type-A port accepts a standard keyboard for rapid one-person operation in confined spaces like fly-pack cases or outside-broadcast vehicles. Dual redundant DC power inputs (6–24 V, locking connectors, two 12 V adapters shipped in the box) keep the router online if one supply fails — a genuine requirement in 24/7 broadcast environments, live theatre backstage operations, and house-of-worship installations where downtime is not an option.

Front Panel
MSS0811 matrix switcher enables full control from the front panel. The current channel status can be viewed visually from the 2.2 inch LCD screen. Besides, the LOCK button perfect avoid accident.

PC Software
The matrix switcher coming with a free PC control software, you can connect a computer via Ethernet to realise the network router control on a Windows PC. Also you can use the software control via the serial port RS-232 connecting your PC.

USB Keyboard
There is another smart control method that connecting a USB keyboard from the USB port to realize a quick and easy configuration.
