The AVMATRIX PKC4000 is a network and serial PTZ camera controller for control rooms that need fast recall, tactile operation and broad protocol support. Its 5-inch touch screen works with a 4D joystick, dedicated knobs and assignable keys, so pan, tilt, zoom, focus, exposure and white balance can be adjusted directly from the panel. In live event, conference, education or studio environments, that physical control helps the operator react faster than touchscreen-only control.
PKC4000 supports VISCA, VISCA over IP, ONVIF, Pelco-D and Pelco-P, with control over IP, RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485. This gives one controller a place in mixed installations where legacy serial PTZ cameras work alongside newer IP models. The unit can organise cameras into 10 groups, address up to 100 cameras on one network and store up to 255 presets, which is practical for recurring positions such as a lectern close-up, wide stage shot, audience angle, interpreter frame or tabletop demo view.
The integrated touch display is also used for real-time monitoring, helping the operator confirm framing while adjusting movement and lens parameters. Quick access to iris, shutter, gain, autofocus and white balance makes the controller useful not only for movement control, but also for day-to-day image adjustment from the same surface. Camera track recording and playback are especially valuable in conference rooms, training centres, telemedicine spaces and education facilities where the same camera move must be repeated across multiple sessions without rebuilding it manually each time.
In multi-camera production, AVMATRIX PKC4000 also brings practical integration features such as PoE+, external DC powering, Tally GPIO and browser-based system management. It can follow preview and program logic with compatible switching systems, which helps keep PTZ selection aligned with what is being prepared and what is already live. For streaming studios, broadcast control rooms, medical production spaces and corporate event setups, it is a focused PTZ joystick controller for operators who need dependable camera control across different protocols and installation types.

The touchscreen installation camera controller offers easy and intuitive operation with a 5" touchscreen and 4D joystick. With real-time video monitoring, automatic IP address assignment and management of up to 100 IP cameras, it ensures efficient PTZ camera operation. Automatic IP address assignment simplifies the setup process, while the controller's ability to manage up to 100 IP cameras on a single network makes it suitable for large-scale productions. The device can be powered via PoE or a 12V DC power supply, and an NDI version is available for those requiring advanced IP video workflows.
