AVMATRIX PKC3500-NDI is a compact PTZ camera controller for broadcast control rooms and streaming galleries where one operator must reframe, shade and recall shots under time pressure. A 5-inch display presents live status and camera preview, while the tactile 4D joystick (with lock) drives pan/tilt/zoom with consistent speed. Three rotary controls provide direct access to iris/shutter/gain, red/blue balance and near/far focus, and the T-bar plus shortcut keys keep preset work fast and predictable.
Control is multi-protocol and scalable. On the network side, the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port supports ONVIF, VISCA over IP (including Sony variants) and NDI|HX2, so NDI PTZ cameras can be discovered and operated on the same LAN as your switcher and encoder. For legacy or point-to-point wiring, RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 add VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-P control with baud rates up to 115200 bps. The system scales to 255 cameras with up to 255 presets. 7 user-assignable keys keep critical functions one press away.
Unlike controllers that require an external monitor, PKC3500-NDI decodes and displays incoming streams on its screen, including multi-view monitoring of up to four NDI sources. Use preview to validate focus, exposure and tally before taking a camera live, then store motion paths with track recording and playback to repeat complex pushes or panel sweeps for lecture capture, houses of worship, eSports, corporate town halls, telemedicine rooms or multi-camera interview sets.
Integration with live infrastructure is straightforward: TALLY/GPIO provides trigger and synchronization I/O for switchers and tally systems, while power can be delivered via PoE/PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at) or DC 7–24 V for clean flypack and rack wiring. A USB port supports firmware update, and consumption stays below 8 W for always-on operation.
