The Focus 12 head revolves around two Cartoni-patented technologies: a spring-loaded continuous counterbalance that holds any camera from 0 to 12 kg in true equilibrium, and a labyrinth modular fluid drag whose concentric rings and aerospace-grade silicone paste give smoothly progressive pan and tilt resistance. Tilt travel runs to ±90°, the bowl is a standard 100 mm ball, and the head stays usable from -40 °C to +60 °C — handy for polar documentary assignments, desert sports coverage or overnight winter news stand-ups. A sliding Euro-style quick-release plate, illuminated spirit level and telescopic pan bar round off the shooter-facing controls.
