Only the probe tube changes on the DZOFilm X-Tract 18-28mm T8 FF Probe Zoom Lens (0° + 90° + 360°) PL Mount. The rear optical assembly and PL mount stay on the camera, while the straight 0° tube, the 90° periscope or the rotating 360° periscope attaches in front through DZOFilm's inter-lens mount. DZOFilm says this detachable macro probe zoom matches its complete-lens siblings optically; frequent swaps may leave light abrasion on the barrel. The kit cannot later be split into separate lenses.

With any tube, the zoom spans 18 to 28 mm at constant T8, closes to T45 over ten blades and fills a 43.2 mm full-frame circle. At 28 mm the glass works 6 mm from the subject at 2.1:1 magnification. Seven HRI and six ED elements cap distortion at ±2% and keep colour neutral; at 24 mm breathing drops to 0.5%, and focus holds while zooming. Despite the prisms, DZOFilm quotes 70.7%, 68.6% and 71.7% relative illumination for 0°, 90° and 360°, about a third of a stop more in the corners than a typical probe prime's 54.9%.

The straight 0° tube slides along the stitching of a leather steering wheel or between seedlings in a nursery tray. The 90° bounces the image off a silver-coated reflector behind its square front, and its tip turns a full circle, then locks; flip the image at the monitor and in grading. Laid flat on a slider, it tracks top shots along a pastry counter with no overhead rig. The 360° periscope travels a 55 cm vertical arc in front mode, sets Dutch angles via two rotation rings, and, folded back to 180°, circles a chess king in a barrel roll.

Each configuration is sealed to IP57 and accepts immersion to 28 cm; a hydrophobic, anti-fog front lets droplets bead away. Testing spans −30 °C to 70 °C; the anodising is 25 µm thick. Ring travel is 300° for focus, 100° for zoom and 72° for iris, all on 0.8 MOD gears. Weight biased toward the camera settles sliders, gimbals and robotic arms, and the short rear accepts DZOFilm Octopus or most PL-to-E, RF and LPL adapters. A foam-lined case holds the kit, support clamps, shims and UV filters. For houses juggling car, cosmetics and nature work, one rear assembly feeding three probe geometries keeps kit and outlay lean.
