Laowa’s Nanomorph 27 mm T2.8 1.5 X Anamorphic S35 (Blue) is a nano-sized cinema tool. At 67 mm long, 84 mm Ø and 490 g it perches on handheld rigs, gimbals or drones without flex. The 25.6 mm image circle fills Super 35 sensors with a 70.8° diagonal field of view.

The optical core—15 elements in 13 groups with a constant 1.5 × squeeze—renders oval bokeh and precise horizontal stretch that de-squeezes to 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor or 2.4:1 after a minor crop. A 13-blade iris and T2.8–T16 aperture keep separation smooth while holding edge sharpness. The clean blue anamorphic flare supplies sci-fi streaks without heavy veiling.

Cine mechanics include 0.8 MOD gears, a wide 271.5° focus throw and dual feet/metre scales. Minimum focus is 43 cm (16.9 in) for dramatic close-ups. A 77 mm filter thread and 80 mm front diameter mesh with matte boxes; internal focus fixes lens length during pulls.

Native ARRI PL mount and a quick-swap Canon EF bayonet support flexible camera chains. Uniform gear spacing across the Nanomorph line saves rig time. Its compact 2.63 in body keeps the centre of gravity near the mount, and the broad 271.5°/70.7° ring throws enable repeatable marks with 0.8 MOD gearing.
