The 45 mm focal length supplies a natural field of view (horizontal 59.9°, vertical 27°) while preserving the perspective compression prized for medium shots.

The fast T2 – T22 aperture teams with a 10-blade iris and a 17-element / 14-group optical formula to deliver crisp centre-to-edge resolution at wide-open stops, elongated oval bokeh and a vivid blue anamorphic flare signature. A floating focusing cell maintains flat-field sharpness from the minimum 0.55 m to infinity, and the squeeze ratio never drifts, eliminating “mumps”. Focus breathing stays beneath the perceptible threshold, ensuring undisturbed framing during pulls.
