For cinematographers seeking optical character rather than a sterile digital image, the DZOFilm Arles Lustre 4-Lens Kit 25/35/50/75mm T1.6 FF/VV Prime Cine Lens PL Mount (metric) gives a focused set of large-format primes with a warm Lustre signature. The 25, 35, 50 and 75 mm focal lengths cover scene establishment, dialogue coverage, portrait framing and tighter detail shots, so one kit can handle narrative film, branded content, fashion work and music videos. A T1.6 to T22 aperture range helps crews keep exposure and depth control consistent from wide shots to close-ups.
The Lustre look is defined by amber halation, warm flare behaviour, smoother contrast and rounded bokeh from a 16-blade iris. This matters on modern high-resolution cinema cameras, where technically clean sensors can benefit from a more textured optical layer at capture. The lenses cover Full Frame and VistaVision with a 46.5 mm image circle, giving coverage for large-format PL camera bodies from film, commercial and studio environments. The 25/35 mm lenses use 14 elements in 12 groups, while the 50/75 mm lenses use 13 elements in 9 groups, keeping the set coherent while each focal length retains its own perspective.
Mechanically, this PL mount cine prime set is built around repeatable on-set handling. Focus rotation is 270°, focus and iris rings use 0.8 MOD gearing, and the shared mechanical layout makes lens changes easier for assistants working with follow focus motors, matte boxes and remote lens-control systems. Close focus reaches 0.35 m on the 25/35 mm lenses, 0.5 m on the 50 mm and 0.75 m on the 75 mm, which supports inserts, product details and intimate performance coverage without moving to a different optical family.
This metric version is the correct choice for European crews, rental houses and camera departments that mark distances in metres. The lenses are native ARRI PL mount; EF and LPL conversion kits should be treated as separate optional accessories, not as part of this EAN version’s supplied kit. For productions that want controlled vintage warmth without excessive diffusion in front of the lens, the Arles Lustre 4-lens kit offers a coherent T1.6 base set for interviews, dramatic interiors, night scenes and stylised commercial images.

Reviving Vintage Glow for Modern Narratives
The Arles Lustre is a characteristic high-speed prime lens series and a brand new exploration of cinematic artistry by DZOFILM. "Lustre," meaning "soft glow," draws inspiration from the iconic golden halation in cinema history.
To craft this large-format lens collection designed for stylistic expression, we collaborated with over 20 cinematographers and photographers specializing in art films, period dramas, and fashion advertising. Based on the sophisticated delicate design of Arles prime, after more than 50 rounds of precise adjustments and refinements, from optical engineering to aesthetic design, we achieved the distinctive "Lustre Look".
Nostalgic Glow for Poetic Imagery
The Lustre series features a unique coating formula that delivers expressive amber flaring, with a soft, poetic glow that infuses every frame with a sense of nostalgia and emotion.
Ideal for indie films, period dramas, experimental films, and fashion commercials, Lustre creates a vintage aesthetic and emotionally resonant imagery. Its stylistic flares and soft contrast evoke a dreamy, evocative ambiance, enriching visuals with greater depth and texture.
Vista Vision Format for Expansive Imagery
The Lustre series spans focal lengths from 14mm to 180mm and is fully compatible with Vista Vision sensors, effortlessly achieving IMAX-level depth of field and expansive perspectives. Whether creating high-end visuals in industrial-grade productions or crafting immersive spatial experiences in narrative films, Lustre excels in delivering outstanding results. Its large-format compatibility, wide aperture, and precision optical design ensure smooth transitions and consistent imagery across the frame. This unified visual style suits a wide range of projects, from independent films to large-scale productions, empowering filmmakers with more creative potential.
