Two sensors in a single housing set the Lumens VC-TR1 apart from conventional PTZ cameras. A 1/2.8-inch 2.13 MP CMOS module handles pan-tilt-zoom duties with a 20x optical zoom lens (focal range 4.9–94 mm, aperture F1.6–F3.5), while a secondary 1/2.5-inch 8.57 MP CMOS sensor delivers a 112° diagonal panoramic overview. This dual-lens architecture lets the camera observe the full stage and follow a single subject simultaneously — a capability that production teams typically achieve only with two separate cameras and a switcher.

The Lumens VC-TR1 processes subject detection internally through AI-based facial recognition; presenters do not carry a transmitter or rely on an external tracking server. Three tracking modes cover distinct scenarios. Stage Tracking locks onto a speaker at a lectern or moving across a platform. Partition Tracking divides the space into up to four preset zones, capturing both the presenter and on-screen content such as slides. Intelligent Tracking merges both sensors, monitoring the panoramic field and PTZ close-up at once, with automatic view switching whenever the subject moves or pauses — no operator input required once the session begins.

Connectivity spans every major signal path in professional environments. 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs feed broadcast switchers for native-quality multi-camera productions, while USB 2.0 (UVC-compliant) turns the unit into a plug-and-play source for Zoom, Teams, or WebEx. For remote distribution, the VC-TR1 streams via RTSP, RTMP, and RTMPS using H.265, H.264, or MJPEG compression — publishing directly to YouTube Live or Facebook Live without an intermediary encoder. PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) consolidates power and data into one cable, simplifying ceiling installations.

From corporate conferences and lecture captures to telemedicine demonstrations, the VC-TR1 reduces crew needs behind the camera. Advanced Tracking
VC-TR1 represents a major advance in facial detection and camera tracking technology. With Lumens' technology, the presenter does not need to wear a dongle, nor is there any need to run a separate PC-based application. VC-TR1 does all the tracking within the system itself. Tracking is smooth and natural and can be finely tuned to adjust for speed and sensitivity to suit your needs.

Stage Tracking
Focuses on a presenter standing on a stage or behind a lectern and tracks the speaker's movement across the stage area.

Partition Tracking
Creates up to four preset zones to allow a presenter to move in a specific area. The camera will capture both the content on the display and the presenter.

Intelligent Tracking
Incorporating dual cameras, VC-TR1 monitors the full width of the stage and the presenter simultaneously, so it's always one step ahead. The user can select settings such as super tracking or partition tracking to establish accurate tracking areas and exclusion zones. This ensures that the presenter is the center of attention at all times. The operator can also add presets to zoom in when the speaker is at the lectern, for example, or zoom out to film a panel discussion. It's very easy to set up and requires no user input once the session has started.

Smart Switching Images between Dual Lens Design
The VC-TR1 integrates PTZ camera and 112° FOV panoramic camera. Thanks to the dual lens design, it can capture the entire view and track a speaker simultaneously. While in the process of tracking, the VC-TR1 automatically switches the video frame. Audiences see not only a presenter but also the content on a whiteboard or presentation material.
