Broadcast islands still built around SDI do not need to be cut off from NDI production. Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI takes an incoming network source and turns it into a clean SDI output for monitors, recorders, routers, switchers, projection systems and legacy infrastructure that must stay in baseband. It decodes signals up to 2K60 and delivers output up to 1080p60, which makes it a practical bridge between IP contribution feeds and professional SDI environments used in television, live events, corporate AV and streaming studios.
This unit is not limited to one transport method. In addition to full-bandwidth NDI, it also handles NDI|HX, NDI|HX2 and NDI|HX3, plus compressed streams over SRT, RTSP, RTMP, RTP, UDP, HLS and HTTP. That widens its use well beyond simple NDI decoding. It can sit at the end of a remote guest feed, return a program signal to an SDI multiviewer, feed an IMAG screen from an IP network, or decode contribution streams for conference rooms, auditoriums, campuses and control rooms. Support for H.264 and H.265 decoding adds another layer of compatibility when sources come from mixed ecosystems.
For professional signal handling, the decoder outputs SD/HD/3G-SDI over BNC, supports BT.601 and BT.709 colour spaces, carries 8-channel embedded audio at 48 kHz, and supports caption transport including CEA-608 and 608 over 708. Image processing controls such as deinterlacing, resolution selection, frame-rate handling and aspect-ratio conversion help when the incoming stream does not match the connected destination exactly. In fixed installations, the stated 3G-SDI cable reach of more than 100 metres is useful for rack-to-stage, control-room-to-display and venue-distribution runs.
Installation is straightforward in both permanent and mobile systems. The unit supports Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, can also be powered from USB, and offers control through Web UI, Control Hub and HTTP API. Real-time status monitoring, audio channel mapping and on-device menu controls help technicians work quickly when a decoder must be reassigned during production. For OB kits, flypacks, lecture capture rooms, digital signage endpoints or hybrid event systems that need dependable NDI to SDI conversion, this model gives existing SDI equipment a direct path into IP-based video transport.

The Magewell Pro Convert Pro Convert for NDI® to SDI converts a live NDI® stream with embedded audio into SDI. Decode 2K 60fps NDI streams into SDI output up to 1920x1080 60fps at very low latency. Full NDI® and NDI®|HX are supported for decoding.
