Marshall CV380-CS Mini Camera

Marshall CV380-CS is a compact 4K mini camera for positions where a larger body cannot be mounted, but broadcast-grade output is still required. It uses an 8.5 MP 1/2.5-inch sensor and delivers true DCI 4K 4096×2160 up to 30 fps. It covers 23.98-30 fps in 4K/UHD, HD progressive up to 60 fps, and 1080i for legacy routing. The camera sends video simultaneously through 6G-SDI and HDMI 1.4, so one unit can feed a switcher and a local monitor or recorder at the same time.

The CS/C lens mount supports fixed and varifocal lenses, including DC Auto-Iris options, which matters in venues with changing light. This makes the CV380-CS a strong fit for ceiling mounts, stage edges, sports goal areas, lecterns, studio corners, courtrooms, and compact robotic setups where a discreet camera angle adds visual coverage without blocking the audience or talent. It is also useful as a locked 4K wide shot when editors need to crop HD frames in post from one master image.

For signal matching, the camera offers RS-485 (Visca) remote control and an OSD joystick on the breakout cable. Operators can tune white balance, exposure, gain, pedestal, gamma, and color matrix parameters to align the shot with PTZ or studio cameras. The menu also includes day/night options, flicker control, digital zoom, and audio settings. A 3.5 mm TRS stereo input accepts mic or line level, with selectable sample bit depth, which helps when embedding reference audio directly in SDI or HDMI feeds for production and review. It runs on 12 V DC (±10%) with low 6 W draw, which simplifies integration in fixed ProAV systems.
