The PTZOptics Studio 4K 12x White is a stationary box camera that captures native UHD video at up to 60 frames per second through an 8MP CMOS sensor. Its 12x optical zoom lens spans a focal range from 4.1 mm to 49.2 mm with an aperture between f/1.8 and f/2.68, while a 16x digital zoom extends reach when tighter framing is needed. At full wide, the 72.5° horizontal field of view covers an entire stage, a courtroom bench, or a conference table without extra camera positions. Minimum illumination of 0.5 lux (F1.8, AGC on) keeps the image clean under dimmed studio or worship lighting.
Simultaneous output paths include HDMI 2.0 at full 4K60, 3G-SDI up to 1080p60, and USB 3.0 Type-C at 1080p60 — feeding a switcher, a recorder, and a software encoder at the same time. Over the network, the camera streams natively via NDI|HX2, SRT, and RTMP/RTSP with H.264 or H.265 compression, plugging directly into IP-based production environments and cloud contribution links. A single PoE+ Ethernet cable handles both power and data, cutting cable runs in half for ceiling mounts or fixed-rig positions where a separate power drop adds cost.
Control runs through IP or RS-485 via a built-in terminal block, and automatic linking to PTZOptics Hive Studio opens browser-based remote management from anywhere on the network. A 3.5 mm line-level audio input embeds external sound into the stream; a matching 3.5 mm output provides a confidence feed at the camera position — something live event engineers count on during multi-camera broadcasts. The built-in microphone covers setups where no external audio source is at hand.
Production crews regularly mount the Studio 4K 12x as a locked-off wide shot in concert broadcasts, an overhead document camera in legal proceedings, or a permanent witness camera in council chambers.
