Z-CAM P2-R1 24x Zoom is a broadcast-grade PTZ camera for rooms where you need repeatable framing, low operator load and an image that doesn’t look “webcam flat”. The 24x optics cover a 32–768 mm (35 mm equivalent) range, shifting from wide establishing shots to tight podium close-ups without a lens swap. A fast f/1.6–f/4.5 aperture and a 1/1.5" CMOS sensor keep highlights under control while preserving clean midtones, with gain up to 36 dB (ISO 200–12800) and shutter from 1/10000 to 1 s for LED-wall stages and mixed lighting.

Focus behavior matters in live work, so P2-R1 uses PDAF phase-detection AF plus manual overrides, backed by E.I.S. when the rig sees vibration. AI auto framing can lock onto a presenter and keep composition stable during panel discussions, lecture capture or one-person streaming. Image profiles include Rec.709 plus HLG options for HDR-aware workflows and consistent matching across multi-camera setups.

Output tops out at UHD 4K up to 50/59.94 fps over HDMI 2.0. 3G-SDI feeds reliable 1080p/1080i to broadcast routers and SDI switchers, while RJ45 IP and USB-C UVC slot straight into vMix/OBS, Teams or Zoom pipelines. For remote contribution, the camera speaks RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, SRT and Z CAM SSP, and it can record a safety master to SD in H.265—useful when you need an iso backup of keynotes, sermons, product launches or sports commentary.

Control is production-friendly: VISCA over IP or RS-422, a browser web client, tally logic, and fast preset recall (up to 256 via CGI) for multicam shows, worship venues, esports desks, courtrooms and conference stages. Genlock helps keep timing stable in a synchronized chain, and Free-D data support fits AR/VR graphics and virtual set tracking, where camera moves must line up with render engines frame after frame. Power options include PoE+ (802.3at) for single-cable installs or 12 V DC, making P2-R1 a tidy choice for permanent PTZ grids.
