Three remote heads, one operator, and a control surface built around them — that is the operational logic behind the Canon CR-N400 Producer Bundle. Pairing a trio of black CR-N400 4K PTZ cameras with the new RC-IP300 multi-camera controller, the kit gives production houses, broadcast studios and live-event teams a ready-to-rack solution for multi-angle UHD capture without the per-seat staffing of a traditional crew.
Each CR-N400 head pulls broadcast-grade imagery from a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor driven by the DIGIC DV7 processor, recording 4K UHD up to 59.94p in 4:2:2 10-bit. HDR pipelines are supported through Canon Log 3, PQ and HLG, while a fast f/1.8–2.8 lens delivers a 20x optical zoom stretched to a 40x extended reach in Full HD — equivalent to roughly 1202 mm in 35 mm terms, enough to pull a tight reaction shot from the back row of an arena or theatre balcony. Hybrid autofocus, optical stabilisation and refined pan/tilt drives keep moving subjects sharp, and the new Auto Tracking engine with face and head detection handles solo presenters or panel discussions on its own.
Connectivity reads like a studio rider: 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, NDI|HX2, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, RTSP/RTP and FreeD, plus USB-C UVC for direct desktop ingest. Genlock and Time Code terminals lock the three heads to house sync, and dual 3-pin XLR inputs with phantom power feed embedded production audio. A single PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) run handles power, control and video to each camera — a meaningful saving on cabling, installation labour and downtime across a multi-room install.
At the operator position, the Canon RC-IP300 brings a 3.5-inch touch panel for live IP preview, dedicated dials for pan, tilt, zoom, focus and iris, and twelve user-assignable buttons. It addresses up to 200 cameras across 20 groups, recalls 100 presets per head, switches with a 2×2 or 3×3 multi-camera view, and exposes 12G-SDI in/out, HDMI out, RJ45 serial, Tally/GPIO and USB-A. For AV Gear customers running corporate auditoriums, lecture capture, sports halls or hybrid event venues, the bundle ships pre-matched, firmware-aligned and backed by our specialist support team.
