Each CR-N400 head pulls broadcast-grade imagery from a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor driven by the DIGIC DV7 processor, recording 4K UHD up to 59.94p in 4:2:2 10-bit. HDR pipelines are supported through Canon Log 3, PQ and HLG, while a fast f/1.8–2.8 lens delivers a 20x optical zoom stretched to a 40x extended reach in Full HD — equivalent to roughly 1202 mm in 35 mm terms, enough to pull a tight reaction shot from the back row of an arena or theatre balcony. Connectivity reads like a studio rider: 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, NDI|HX2, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, RTSP/RTP and FreeD, plus USB-C UVC for direct desktop ingest. Genlock and Time Code terminals lock the three heads to house sync, and dual 3-pin XLR inputs with phantom power feed embedded production audio.
