Few cameras combine optical precision with remote control like the Canon CR‑N100 White Auto Tracking PTZ Camera. Delivering 4K UHD pictures at up to 30 fps with oversampled HD, it uses a 1/2.3‑inch CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 processor. The 20× optical zoom lens sweeps from a 65.6° wide view down to a tight 3.6° angle (29.3–601 mm equivalent) so you can cover an entire meeting room or stage from one discreet mount. A Hybrid AF system combines contrast and phase detection to lock focus, and four scene modes (Portrait, Sport, Low‑light and Spotlight) simplify exposure in challenging venues.

Smooth, silent movement is delivered via a drive that pans 0.2–300°/s and tilts 0.2–170°/s across ±170° and –30 to 100°. Built‑in auto‑tracking firmware keeps presenters centred; it recognises faces, adjusts framing and tracks multiple people, with advanced functions available via the RA‑AT001 licence. Up to 100 preset positions can be recalled through RC‑IP100 or RC‑IP1000 controllers or the free software that manages and monitors up to 200 cameras. A tally lamp and image‑flip setting support ceiling mounting.

Power, control and IP video travel over a single PoE+ cable; HDMI outputs 10‑bit 4:2:2 up to UHD 30p; the USB‑C port offers a UVC stream for web conferencing, and a 3.5 mm input accepts microphones. On the network side the CR‑N100 works with NDI|HX, SRT, RTMP/RTMPS, Canon XC and standard RTSP/RTP protocols, integrating into production switchers, encoders and cloud platforms. Built‑in neutral‑density filtering and gain control from 0–36 dB preserve image quality across changing light.

Smooth and precise control
The CR-N100 has a high-precision drive mechanism for fine Pan and Tilt movement as slow as 0.2°/s. Compatible with the RC-IP100 controller and Remote Camera Control Application controllers, it can also be configured with selected third-party units.

Precise focusing with Hybrid AF
Combining high-precision contrast AF with high-speed phase-detection AF, the CR-N100 delivers rapid and accurate focusing of the subject, even in low light conditions.

The CR-N100 PTZ camera has an external sensor measuring subject distance, and compares the point of focus with that determined by the Contrast AF system. This Auto Focus system delivers faster and more accurate focussing than conventional contrast AF, assisting the camera operator.
