Kinefinity LPL Mounting Adapter

On many cinema jobs, the LPL lens package is the capital asset; the camera body is the variable around it. The Kinefinity LPL Mounting Adapter connects that glass to a KineMOUNT camera through a direct metal positive-lock interface. It accepts most LPL large-format cine lenses, including ARRI Signature Primes, so a production company can retain a familiar optical package for features, commercials and premium branded shoots. Short flange geometry and a wide internal opening suit full-frame LPL optics with wide apertures.

The adapter seats on KineMOUNT without an external cable and fits without tools. During prep, one camera package can take an LPL prime set, then return to another supported mount without dedicating a second body to the lens choice. The lock provides a firm reference for repeatable focus work with a manual follow focus or wireless FIZ motor. Its compact, low-mass construction keeps unnecessary load away from handheld, gimbal and shoulder builds; long or heavy cine lenses should still use manufacturer-specified support.

Compatibility reaches beyond early MAVO LF listings. Kinefinity currently lists MAVO Edge 8K, MAVO Edge 6K, MAVO mark2 LF, MAVO mark2 S35, MAVO LF, MAVO 6K, TERRA 4K, TERRA 6K and VISTA, provided the camera carries KineMOUNT. This serves rental stock, A/B-camera packages and mixed full-frame/Super 35 jobs where one LPL inventory must cover several bodies. Image-circle coverage remains a property of the selected lens and camera mode and should be checked at each focal length, not assumed from the mount.

This passive adapter provides no electronic communication. Lens metadata, iris commands and focus control therefore do not pass through the mount, a key distinction from active alternatives. Crews using manual cine glass or an external FIZ system gain a cable-free mechanical path and keep lens control with the assistant.
