Switching between the two feeds, or dropping one into a picture-in-picture inset, happens from one device rather than two rigged positions, which matters when rack space and cabling budgets are finite.

The main imager is a professional 8-megapixel 1/1.8-inch Sony sensor feeding a 25x optical zoom (7.1 to 171.95 mm) that resolves UHD at 3840 x 2160 up to 60 fps. A 60-degree horizontal angle of view at the wide end opens out to genuine reach across a lecture theatre or large hall, and low-light behaviour stays usable down to 0.1 lux thanks to wide dynamic range and 3D noise reduction. The second imager, a 1/2.8-inch panoramic sensor at 83.1 degrees, does more than fill the frame: it lets the camera count heads and report a live audience tally through the web interface, useful for room-occupancy logging and post-event reporting.

What sets the Marshall CV625-TWN apart on a busy shoot is predictive auto-tracking. Rather than chasing motion reactively, the AI recognises faces, learns a subject's movement habits and frames ahead of the action, so a roaming presenter stays centred without a camera operator riding the joystick. Tracking holds across a 2 to 18 metre range, pan covers 340 degrees and tilt spans from +90 to -30 degrees, with 256 stored presets for instant recall between segments. Selectable pan and tilt speeds let the same unit serve gentle corporate framing or fast follow on a stage.

Signal routing is where this PTZ earns its place in a hybrid gallery. NDI HX2 and HX3 carry IP video across the network alongside RTSP, RTMP, RTMPS and SRT, while 3G-SDI, HDMI and USB 3.0 handle hardwired switchers, recorders and conferencing chains in parallel. Control runs over VISCA, VISCA-over-IP, ONVIF, NDI or RS-232, with an infrared remote reaching about 15 metres for quick floor adjustments. A 3.5 mm line input embeds audio onto every output, a tally indicator keeps talent and crew in sync, and PoE+ delivers data and power down one cable, trimming installation time on multi-camera builds for broadcast galleries, council chambers, courtroom records and lecture capture alike.
