Matrox QuadHead2Go Q185 Card turns one Mini DisplayPort 1.2 feed into four synchronized outputs for compact, high-density video walls. Installed as a PCIe x16 mechanical / x1 electrical card, it takes power only—no frame data travels over the system bus—so integrators can add multi-display control inside an existing PC chassis without touching GPU drivers or OS image stability. A dedicated RJ45 port keeps configuration and monitoring on the network rather than borrowing the host NIC.

Feed it up to 3840×2160 60 Hz (or ultra-wide formats such as 7680×1080 60 Hz and tall canvases like 1920×4320 60 Hz), then split, scale and place content across four Mini HDMI outputs. Output formats cover 1920×1080 and 1920×1200 at 30/60 Hz, with support for additional resolutions on request. Color handling stays clean for signage and broadcast graphics: input accepts RGB 8:8:8 and YUV 4:4:4 / 4:2:2, and outputs deliver RGB 8:8:8. HDCP compliance also matters when sources include protected content.

Layouts aren’t locked to rectangles, and clone mode is available for mirrored outputs. With Matrox PowerWall or the REST API, each output can be independently rotated (90/180/270°), cropped, positioned, and bezel-compensated—useful for portrait menu boards, asymmetrical stage backdrops, or control-room “ribbon” displays. Built-in 1 GB memory and multi-unit support help scale from a 2×2 wall to larger canvases by chaining cards, and Matrox highlights pairing with LUMA Pro or D-Series GPUs to reach very large 1080p walls.

Typical deployments include newsroom and MCR monitoring, live production multi-view plus confidence screens, trading floors, museums, and retail signage where content must stay frame-accurate across bezels. For AV teams, the payoff is a predictable signal path: one input, four precisely mapped outputs, network-based management, and video-wall tools that keep complex layouts maintainable.

    Matrox QuadHead2Go Q185 Multi-Monitor Controller Card

    Fast. Easy. High-Density Video Walls.
Capable of driving four displays from one signal, the Matrox® QuadHead2Go™ Q185 multi-monitor controller card provides complete video wall scalability and flexibility. The Matrox® QuadHead2Go™ Q185 multi-monitor controller card is a single-slotPCIe® card is designed to power any video wall configuration of any possible dimension, from any DisplayPort video source—no adapter required. Delivering flawless image quality across expansive video wall displays, QuadHead2Go™ Q185 is ideal for control rooms.

Ready to deploy. Right out of the box.

    • Set up without installing software or even connecting a video source, by using the default configuration of 2x2 in landscape.
    • Reduce setup time by using QuadHead2Go’s pre-set configurations and built-in images, together with display identification information that includes the ID number and the resolution of each output.
    • Eliminate physical handling by controlling and updating the cards remotely from anywhere on the network (LAN).
    • Ensure compatibility with professional-grade graphics cards with Mini DisplayPort™ 1.2 support—no adapter required.
    • Create a video wall from any content source—professional graphics cards and integrated GPUs, video wall controllers, digital signage players, media players, decoders, laptops, NUCs, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, and more.

Build your wall with the touch of a button
On-device buttons make it easy to select and set the display layout—simply cycle through pre-set configurations. Set up display positions, fine tune bezels, and also troubleshoot with ease, by accessing the built-in or pre-saved images directly from the appliance, together with display identification information that includes the ID number and the resolution of each output.

    Smallest footprint. Highest density.
Drive up to four Full HD displays from a single video signal from a single PCIe® card. A native network jack on the card eliminates reliance on the host computers’ network. PC independence means there’s no need for a driver and no system bus data transfer is required or executed—only power is taken from the host system’s PCIe bus. QuadHead2Go cards can be placed into available slots in existing systems without compromising system integrity and stability, and make minimal power consumption demands of the PC system.

Scale your video wall. Easily and infinitely.

Rotate and position outputs independently from one another
Design modern and artistic video wall layouts with free rein—each output can have its own resolution, be independently rotated (90, 180, and 270 degrees), cropped, upscaled, downscaled, and positioned anywhere.
