The PTZOptics Studio 4K 12x is a fixed-frame box camera built around a 1/2.8-inch 8MP CMOS sensor that delivers UHD 3840×2160 at 60 fps. Its 12x optical zoom lens (f=4.1–49.2 mm, F1.8–F2.68) paired with 16x digital zoom captures tight head-and-shoulders framing from over 27 metres away — a real asset in broadcast studios, on live event stages, in courtrooms, and in houses of worship where a discreet, stationary camera must still reach the subject with clarity.
Four simultaneous video outputs set the Studio 4K 12x apart. The HDMI 2.0 port carries a full 4K60 signal, while the 3G-SDI output (BNC, SMPTE 424M) handles up to 1080p60 for direct feed into production switchers. A USB 3.0 Type-C connection supports UVC capture for software encoders and video conferencing platforms, and the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port enables NDI® HX3 streaming alongside SRT, RTSP, and RTMP/RTMPS protocols. Both H.264 and H.265 compression are available, with H.265 HEVC encoding active through RTSP and NDI HX3 at full 4K60 — a meaningful bandwidth saving for network-dense installations.
A built-in beamforming microphone captures ambient audio without external gear, and 3.5 mm line-level input/output jacks let you embed or extract audio as needed. The integrated tally light signals on-air status during multi-camera shoots. With 255 stored presets and 0.1° recall accuracy, framing stays consistent show after show. Image flip and mirror functions handle ceiling or inverted mounting, and camera control runs through IP or RS-485.
Power comes via 12V DC or PoE+ (802.3at) at a maximum of 18 W, so one Ethernet cable covers video, data, and power simultaneously. The camera links to PTZOptics Hive Studio for cloud-based configuration from any browser. Its NDAA Section 889 compliance opens the door to government procurement, and a minimum illumination of 0.5 lux (F1.8, AGC on) with ONVIF support makes the PTZOptics Studio 4K 12x equally suited to security monitoring, surveillance, and low-light live streaming.
