The Canon CR-N350 White PTZ camera meets that pressure with a 1/2.3-inch 4K UHD CMOS sensor, full 4K60P capture and a 20x optical zoom lens covering 29.3 mm to 601 mm in 35 mm terms. For longer reach, the in-camera 40x extension in Full HD pushes the optical reach to roughly 1202 mm, letting a single head cover a 600-seat auditorium, a panel discussion from the back of the room, or a stage upstage line without losing critical detail on faces and slides.

Image craft is where this PTZ separates itself from entry-level rigs. Native HDR capture in PQ and HLG sits alongside Canon Log 3 and Wide DR, giving colourists a usable signal under contrasty lecture-theatre lighting, mixed daylight, or LED-wall stages. White balance handles 2,000 K to 15,000 K plus AWB, Set A/B and presets, so matching a studio array of three or four units stays straightforward during a multi-camera switch.

Signal output is where production houses gain real time savings. HDMI delivers 4K60P in 4:2:2 10-bit, 3G-SDI carries clean 1080p60 to your existing baseband chain, and the RJ-45 port runs NDI|HX2, SRT, RTMP/RTMPS, RTP/RTSP and FreeD simultaneously over a single PoE++ cable, with power, video, audio, tally and IP control on one run. Canon XC Protocol, Standard Communication and RS-422 give you direct PTZ joystick control from any major surface, and the simultaneous widescreen plus 9:16 vertical feed lets one camera cover the broadcast master while feeding social and live-commerce channels in parallel.

Auto Tracking Lite ships free with every Canon CR-N350 White body and locks on to a presenter through pan and tilt re-orientation, with a paid RA-AT001 licence adding Multi-Person Framing for panel sets, hybrid events and lecture capture. Combined with quiet motorisation, integrated tally, hybrid autofocus and full PoE++ install simplicity, this is a serious tool for studios building stable, repeatable multi-camera output without growing the crew.
