Canon RC-IP100 PTZ Controller

Centralised, hands-on command of a multi-camera PTZ rig becomes far less stressful once a dedicated console handles the heavy lifting. The Canon...
In bright studios, lecture theatres and corporate stages where dark hardware stands out against pale ceilings, the Canon CR-N700 White Auto Tracking PTZ Camera slips quietly into the architecture while doing serious broadcast work. Its headline trick is hands-off operation: with the Auto Tracking application, the head follows a moving presenter by itself, offering Multi-Person Framing for panels, Face Direction Framing that reads where someone looks, and Sit/Stand Framing for talks that shift between the two. Sensitivity is adjustable and several setups can be stored, so one technician covers what once needed an operator per angle.
Behind the white shell sits the same imaging core trusted on demanding productions. A single 1.0-type CMOS sensor and the DIGIC DV7 processor record 4K UHD at 60p in 4:2:2 10-bit, holding shadow detail down to about 3 lux and dropping into Night Mode when a venue goes dark. Canon Log 3, Wide Dynamic Range and HDR in PQ or HLG let material from this PTZ head intercut cleanly with Cinema EOS footage on the same grade.
Reach is rarely a problem. A 15x optical zoom runs from a 25.5 mm wide angle to roughly 382.5 mm at the long end (35mm equivalent) and climbs to 30x in Full HD, framing a tight shot of a speaker from the back of a hall. Dual Pixel CMOS AF with EOS iTR AF X locks onto faces and eyes and holds them, while built-in stabilisation calms long-lens shake on light rigging. A crop function even outputs a second framed feed in Full HD — a wide master and a punched-in close-up from one unit.
For the gallery, the CR-N700 White keeps its options open. 12G-SDI and HDMI deliver uncompressed 4K, genlock and time code keep it locked to a multi-camera rig, and up to 100 presets recall framing instantly. Native streaming spans NDI|HX, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT and RTP/RTSP, FreeD data feeds virtual and AR sets, and a pair of balanced XLR inputs adds 48V phantom power for clean sound at source. Pan and tilt glide from 0.1°/s to 100°/s across ±170°, operators drive it over LAN, Wi-Fi, serial or IR from the RC-IP1000, RC-SK5 or RC-IP100, and one PoE++ cable powers the lot. For a production house that values service and dependable hardware over the cheapest sticker, it earns its place as a long-haul asset.

4K detail for imaging excellence
A 1.0-Type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV7 processor deliver 4K UHD 60P imagery in up to 4:2:2 10-bit, 12G-SDI and HDMI for broadcast-standard image quality, plus 4K60P over IP.
Award-winning Auto Focus technology
Fast, intelligent, and extremely accurate focussing via multiple modes thanks to Canon’s proprietary Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology with advanced EOS iTR AF X.
Close the distance with unrivalled clarity
Harness the power of a 1.0-type 4K sensor and DIGIC DV7 processor with Dual Pixel AF. A 15x optical zoom (30x in Full HD) captures productions in exceptional detail, even in Night Mode. Stream 4K60P and HDR quality broadcast footage via a wide range of IP protocols and automate your productions using Auto Tracking.
Class-leading optical precision
The CR-N700’s high-performance lens has a 15x optical zoom (25.5mm - 382.5mm, 35mm equivalent) plus a 30x Advanced Zoom when shooting in Full HD. And when conditions are unstable, Canon’s renowned Image Stabilizer captures optimal footage.
Multiple protocols for seamless integration
The CR-N700 features SRT and NDI|HX1 that produce high quality video streams for broadcasters. RTMP/RTMPS, RTP/RTSP are included, along with Canon XC and Standard communication protocols, plus FreeD for integration into virtual productions.
Powerful HDR imagery and low light capture
Achieve stunning HDR imagery with direct recording into either PQ or HLG formats. A range of custom picture settings includes Canon Log 3 and Wide Dynamic Range to match your image with other Canon cameras.
Crop function – single camera, two video feeds
Select and extract a point of interest via a separate feed. The chosen area can then be output as a main or secondary signal and up to two cropped areas can be set in FHD.
Smooth and precise control
The CR-N700 has a high-precision drive mechanism for fine Pan and Tilt movement as slow as 0.1°/s. Compatible with the RC-IP1000, the RC-SK5, the RC-IP100 controller and Remote Camera Control Application controllers.
Upgrade your content with a new firmware update available August 2025
Download the latest firmware and take advantage of newly added Auto Tracking App RA-AT001* features. Auto Framing features include Multi-Person Framing, that detects and includes multiple people in the frame, while Face Direction Framing and Sit/Stand Framing deliver natural composition for a single person in frame. Additionally, RTMP/SRT auto reconnection and improved camera control from the iOS app is now included.
*Free Auto Tracking App RA-AT001(Lite) available via FW, 1.1.0 or later. A paid license is necessary for full functionality of auto tracking.
