Back to the format that shaped a century of cinema optics. The Kinefinity MAVO mark2 S35 E-Mount reads out a Super 35 3:2 CMOS chip at 6144 × 4016 in open gate, around 25 megapixels on a 24 × 16 mm imaging area. Dual native ISO 800 and 3200 sit inside a range stretching from 160 to 81920, and the sensor holds beyond 14 stops of dynamic range — latitude that keeps skin tones intact against a blown practical window, with a second base ISO that earns its keep on night exteriors. Shutter angle runs 0.7° to 358°, so banding under LED walls gets solved on set, not in the grade.

Frame-rate headroom separates it from the earlier S35 generation. Open gate captures to 60 fps, 6K DCI at 6144 × 3240 reaches 75 fps, and the 6K 2.4:1 window pushes to 96 fps. Crop to the M43 imaging circle and 4K DCI runs to 110 fps, 3.8K 2.4:1 to 150 fps; a Super 16 readout carries 2K to 270 fps for product macro and sports inserts. All of it lands internally as Apple ProRes, from 422 LT up to 12-bit ProRes 4444XQ, written to a KineMAG Nano SSD or a third-party NVMe M.2 2280 drive. Anamorphic units get 4:3 and 6:5 readouts with live de-squeeze, covering 2x and 1.33x squeeze glass.

The bundled Active E Mount carries full electronic contacts: iris, focal length and focus of Sony E glass answer to camera-side control, optical stabilisation engages where the lens supports it, and lens data is written into the clip. Beneath it sits the native short-flange KineMOUNT, swapping to PL, LPL or EF adapters without tools or flange recalibration — one body covers a documentary morning on stabilised zooms and a commercial night on PL primes. Two independent 3G/1.5G SDI outputs carry embedded audio and metadata to a switcher and a director's monitor at once, while dual Kinefinity video ports drive KineMON-5U2/7U2 touchscreens or the KineEVF2 OLED finder.

Dual XLR inputs with 48 V phantom, 24-bit/48 kHz linear PCM, LTC timecode in and out and RS422 sync cover multi-camera rigs and remote heads. A hybrid plate accepts V-mount or BP-U packs, backed by 11–26 V DC input. KineLOG3 with custom 3D LUT import keeps looks matched across a fleet, and 30-second pre-roll saves the reaction shot nobody can stage twice.

    Integrated Body Design
MAVO mark2 inherits the integrated body design of MAVO Edge camera which has won the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2021. The compact camera body features a host of general control ports, dual SDI outputs with embedded metadata and audio, high-quality multi-channel audio recording, timecode sync, and RS232 protocol LENS port for third-party accessories.

    Comprehensive Power Solution
The MAVO mark2 offers an innovative hybrid battery plate to accommodate power demands in various shooting scenarios. It supports standard 14.8V V-mount batteries like KineBAT PD 99/200, as well as BP-U type batteries like GripBAT 4S. With the addition of Movcam KineKIT-Edge cage, NP-F550 type batteries can support an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the camera via the UPS baseplate.

    Ultra-Compact, Ultra-Light
MAVO mark2 features a high-strength aviation aluminum alloy body with highly integrated functions, yet weighs only 1.35kg (2.98lbs). It is lighter than both MAVO Edge and MAVO LF with KineBACK, making it easy to carry and suitable for a wide range of complex and dynamic shooting scenarios.
