Some tracking cameras treat automation as a convenience; Lumens VC-TR61N Black AI Auto-Tracking PTZ Camera treats it as a production source. Its twin-camera architecture combines a main 1/1.8" 8.48 MP PTZ block with a separate 1/2.8" 8.6 MP panoramic camera, so an operator can use a close presenter shot and a wide reference view from the same body. The main camera records up to UHD 2160p60, uses a 30x optical zoom lens with 7.1–213 mm focal range and F1.6–F5.4 aperture, while the panoramic module provides an 85.1° horizontal view for room awareness.

For tracking in lecture theatres, boardrooms, training rooms and event spaces, the AI engine follows a presenter from 2 to 18 m, with an optimum operating distance around 8 m. Stage, Everywhere and Partition modes let the director define tracking areas, exclusion zones and lens behaviour: a speaker can be held in an upper-body frame, or the camera can switch to a wider composition as they move toward a screen. Auto framing, 256 presets, pan range of +170° to -170° and tilt from +90° to -30° give reliable shot control without tying a camera operator to one position.

Signal routing is intentionally broadcast-friendly. The NDI HX3 and NDI HX2 paths carry the PTZ camera at 2160p60, with a 640 × 360 sub feed available, and the panoramic camera can send a separate 2160p60 IP stream. RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS and SRT support remote contribution, corporate streaming and multi-camera switching; HDMI can output PTZ or panoramic 2160p60, 3G-SDI supplies the PTZ image at 1080p60, and USB 3.0 provides UVC/UAC operation up to 2160p30 for software mixers and meeting platforms.

Camera settings show clear ProAV intent: WDR and 3D noise reduction help in rooms with projector light, stage LEDs or mixed daylight, 0.5 lux sensitivity with AGC active keeps low-light capture usable, and Line In audio can be embedded to Ethernet, USB, HDMI or SDI using AAC or PCM. Control is available through VISCA, ONVIF, NDI, RS-232, Ethernet, USB and remote handset, while PoE+ allows a single network cable for power and data in fixed AV installations.

Stage Tracking and Everywhere Tracking Modes
Lumens advanced tracking algorithms make the VC-TR61N suitable for use in presentations, conferences, houses of worship and education. Delivering reliable and smooth results, the camera includes mode selection to set tracking areas, exclusion zones and camera movement.

Partition Tracking Mode
In Partition Tracking Mode, the operator can program camera actions depending on the location of the subject within the tracking area. This can include triggering a particular zoom angle to focus the audience’s attention on the presenter or a wider shot to frame both the speaker and a whiteboard.

Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Output
As a 2-camera unit, VC-TR61N outputs dual independent IP streams. A simple menu setting also enables it to create a composite picture-in-picture output (via HDMI and USB). The user can easily define the position and size of the inset picture via the web interface.
