PTZOptics SuperJoy is a professional IP & Serial PTZ camera controller for rigorous live workflows. A responsive three-axis joystick, pressure-sensitive dials and status-aware, backlit keys provide precise control of pan/tilt/zoom, focus and presets. The controller outputs a 1080p HDMI preview by decoding the selected camera’s RTSP stream, enabling low-latency monitoring anywhere on your LAN.
Connect over RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 or 10/100 Ethernet. Supported protocols include VISCA and VISCA-over-IP (PTZOptics & Sony), Pelco-D/P, plus NDI and limited ONVIF control. Power via 12 V DC or PoE (802.3af)—use a single source only. Cable reach: Ethernet 100 m, RS-232/RS-422 15 m, RS-485 1,200 m. A large LCD shows status, while dedicated knobs address exposure, shutter and iris; white balance and focus are accessible without diving into on-camera OSD. Six camera hotkeys speed handoffs, while fine-tune zoom and focus dials enable precise framing. AF Lock/Unlock is available on-panel, and speed keys tailor pan, tilt, zoom and preset recall as required, cleanly.
Organise systems into five control groups with up to 255 cameras in total (Groups 1–4: seven channels each; Group 5: high-capacity IP group). Store up to 255 presets plus nine quick presets, and trigger multi-camera “Super-Presets”. Three operation modes (Basic, Basic Plus, Matrix) fit any operator; Matrix can call presets on up to three cameras at once for rapid scene recalls.
Four custom buttons issue HTTP/TCP/UDP commands to third-party devices and software (switchers, recorders, vMix/OBS), and the joystick-top shortcut toggles functions such as auto-tracking. Rugged metal housing, 6 W draw, 1.70 kg weight and compact size 354 × 180 × 50 mm (101 mm incl. stick) keep control surfaces tidy. Baud rates from 1,200–19,200 bps and RTSP-to-HDMI decoding round out a controller built to anchor broadcast, streaming and studio installations.
