Canon RC-IP100 PTZ Controller

Centralised, hands-on command of a multi-camera PTZ rig becomes far less stressful once a dedicated console handles the heavy lifting. The Canon...
Built around a 1/2.3-inch single-plate CMOS sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC DV 6 processor, the Canon CR-N300 White delivers UHD 4K capture up to 30p alongside oversampled Full HD at 59.94p. Production houses running multi-camera live events, corporate streaming and remote broadcast positions will recognise immediately why this PTZ unit sits at the centre of so many in-ear monitor rigs and IP truck deployments — clean signal handling, predictable colorimetry against BT.709, and a matte titanium-white finish that disappears against well-lit stage backdrops.
The optical block carries a native 20x optical zoom across a 3.67–73.4 mm range (35 mm equivalent of roughly 29.3–601 mm), with an iris span of f/1.8–2.8 and an 8-bladed circular aperture that keeps out-of-focus highlights tidy on close-up portrait shots. A motor-driven gradation ND filter opens the door to shooting wide-open under stage wash or daylight, while the Hybrid AF system blends contrast detection with phase-detection AF for fast lock on talking-head subjects. Face AF, tracking and continuous AF modes are all selectable, and minimum subject illumination of around 1.5 lux gives operators real margin in dim venues.
Outputs cover everything a mixed broadcast and IP truck needs: 3G-SDI on BNC, an HDMI port carrying 4K UHD 4:2:2 10-bit, USB 3.0 Type-C for direct UVC ingest, and a Gigabit LAN port handling PoE+ power alongside full NDI|HX, SRT, RTMP/RTMPS and RTSP/RTP streaming. Canon's XC protocol, FreeD and Standard Communication round out the control side, with Wi-Fi and infrared available for ad-hoc operation. The pan/tilt mechanism moves at 0.2–300°/s across a ±170° pan range and stores up to 100 presets — enough to cover complex theatre, sports or municipal-council cue lists without daisy-chaining controllers.
For studios investing in long-running fixed installs, the RA-AT001 (Lite) Auto Tracking firmware adds subject following at no extra cost, with the paid full app extending sensitivity, multi-person framing and recall slots. Combined with single-cable PoE+ install and Canon's RC-IP100 hardware controller scaling up to 100 cameras, the Canon CR-N300 White slots cleanly into AV-over-IP infrastructure built to run for years, not seasons.

The CR-N300 makes content creation and streaming simple. Equipped with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with 4K UHD resolution, 20x image stabilised optical zoom and a wide range of streaming and control protocols, as well as the ability to automate your productions using Auto Tracking App RA-AT001(Lite), it’s the ideal choice for a variety of productions.
20x Optical zoom for incredible flexibility
Capture all the detail you need, thanks to Canon’s advanced 4K optics which feature a flexible 20x optical zoom covering a broad focal range of 29.3-601mm (35mm equivalent), ensuring great flexibility. Equipped with image stabilisation, for minimal image disruption when moving.
IP Streaming and Control to transform your productions
The CR-N300 boasts a comprehensive range of IP control and streaming protocols up to 4K UHD 30p allowing for greater control for your production needs. Featuring major protocols such as NDI|HX, RTMP, RTP/RTSP, RTMPS, SRT, FreeD and Canon’s XC Protocol, it will fit into most new or most existing systems, making it an extremely flexible option.
Hybrid AF for precise focus
The CR-N300 combines high-precision contrast AF with high-speed phase-detection AF, ensuring rapid and accurate focusing of the subject, even in low light conditions. Equipped with a bespoke external sensor which measures the distance to the subject and compares the point of focus with that determined by the Contrast AF system. This Hybrid AF system is particularly effective in low light situations and provides fast, accurate and reliable Autofocus with greater accuracy than Contrast AF alone.
Flexible connectivity for your workflow
The CR-N300 features a whole host of connections to ensure the ultimate flexibility in workflows. Featuring a HDMI port which can achieve 4K UHD, 4:2:2 10-bit. The camera also boasts a 3G-SDI port, USB Port, 3.5mm Audio Input and a PoE+ LAN port.
Smooth, precise control
The CR-N300 is equipped with a high-precision drive mechanism, enabling the Pan and Tilt movement to be finely adjusted at variable speeds using controllers such as RC-IP100, Canon Remote Camera Control Application or a tablet via Wi-Fi, to capture the perfect shot.
Upgrade your content with a new firmware update available August 2025
Download the latest firmware and take advantage of newly added Auto Tracking App RA-AT001* features. Auto Framing features include Multi-Person Framing, that detects and includes multiple people in the frame, while Face Direction Framing and Sit/Stand Framing deliver natural composition for a single person in frame. Additionally, RTMP/SRT auto reconnection and improved camera control from the iOS app is now included.
*Free Auto Tracking App RA-AT001(Lite) available via FW, 1.1.0 or later. A paid license is necessary for full functionality of auto tracking.
